Program Schedule for 2026–2076
- Application opens August 4 and closes September 30, 2026
- Introduction to Woody ID 2026 will be offered September 12– October 10, 9:00am-12:00 pm (recommended prerequisite);
Garden Fundamentals (recommended prerequisite for less experienced/new to Calgary gardeners) is offered ON-DEMAND. - Master Gardener Part A course starts on Saturday Oct 17, 8:30am until 1pm and finishes Dec 19, 2026.
- Master Gardener Part B course starts on January 9, 2027 and runs until April 10, 2027 (8:30am-1pm), no classes on Feb 13, Mar 20 and 27.
- The online class will be hosted concurrently with the in-person* class
Application
The 2026–2027 application form will be available online from Aug 5 until Sept 30.
The curriculum is varied and encompasses a variety of topics. There is an emphasis on gardening successfully “under the arch” in our Calgary climate. Here are the modules that will be covered in this Master Gardener program.

If you wish to register online for Garden Fundamentals and receive the membership discount and are not currently a member, sign up for a Society membership a day prior to registering for the class. If you would like to sign up for a membership and register for the class at the same time, please call the office at 403.287.3469 and speak to Karina.
