General Program Schedule for 2023–2024

  • Application opens August 1 and closes September 30, 2023
  • Intro to Woody is being offered September 15–October 21 (recommended prerequisite)
  • Garden Fundamentals (recommended prerequisite for less experienced/new to Calgary gardeners) is offered ON-DEMAND.
  • Master Gardener Part A course starts Saturday, October 28, 2023 and runs until Saturday, December 16, 2023
  • Master Gardener Part B course starts Saturday, January 6, 2024 and runs until Saturday, April 13, 2024
  • Class is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays
  • The online class will be hosted concurrently with the in-person* class

The 2023–2024 application form will be available online.

The curriculum is varied and encompasses a variety of topics. There is an emphasis on gardening successfully “under the arch” in our Calgary climate. Here are the modules that will be covered in this Master Gardener program.

If you wish to register online for Garden Fundamentals and receive the membership discount and are not currently a member, sign up for a Society membership a day prior to registering for the class. If you would like to sign up for a membership and register for the class at the same time, please call the office at 403.287.3469 and speak to Gail.
