Class Objective

Gain an insight into short season growing and how it works.

A growing season is the interval of time between the last frost and first frost. If this interval is less than 120 days, it is considered to be a “short” growing season. Calgary’s growing season usually averages around 115 days, hence why we have a short growing season. In this module, you will learn about the plants that can be planted despite the short season.
