We have a great selection of books, curated for our growing environment, for you to borrow or to browse at the Society office.
Learning Opportunities
Our year-round schedule includes hands-on workshops, instructional programs, guest speakers, and informal talks; most are free or discounted for members.
Events
Spring and Fall Plant Shares
Share your excess plants, seeds, and bulbs and exchange for new treasures.
Signature Events
To launch the gardening season, the Society hosts an event packed with guest speakers, expert panels, and demonstrations. Members receive a discount to attend this online learning event. We have also expanded the activities at our member Spring Plant Share to include a marketplace.
To celebrate harvest and garlic, the Society hosts an event with knowledgeable speakers and a marketplace. In addition, the Fall Plant Share includes a member-to-member garlic exchange. The 2022 Fall Fair is free for Society members.
Open Gardens
Members generously open their gardens for other members to see what grows well in Calgary and to get ideas for their own yards.
Shopping Discounts
Don’t go shopping without your membership card! We have more than 50 businesses offering discounts up to 15% to Society members.
