Proper food preservation and storage will ensure you enjoy the fruits of your labour well into the winter months.  Learn how to can, preserve and store your vegetables and fruits safely and effectively.

Join our experts Kath Smyth and Verne Williams in this fun and informative workshop as they demonstrate the basics of canning, freezing, fermenting and drying techniques. 

In this talk and demonstration you will learn how preserving can make any food available at any time of year. 

You will find out about the most common methods of food preservation and how foods can be transformed from raw products into more stable forms that can be stored for longer periods of time.

You will learn what you could grow and preserve, and sample the results of canning by tasting some delicious preserves.
