Rules and Conditions
- Entries must be the work of the contest entrant.
- Designs should reflect a concept of modular, practical container gardening dedicated to herbs, pollinators, or seasonal interest.
- Each participant may submit one container. Maximum container size: 30 cm x 30 cm. Two entries will share table space, so keep that in mind if you plan to have the design spill outside the container.
- A container may be the work of more than one person that is collectively known as the entrant or participant.
- As a condition of entering, the Society is granted permission to use images of the entries in program and promotional material across media platforms.
- Prize winners must be able to come by the Society office at 5720 Silver Ridge Drive NW Calgary AB (Sunrise Room of the Silver Springs Community Association) to pick up their prize. Any prize not collected by May 31 will be returned to the Calgary Horticultural Society (Society) and considered the property of the Society.
- The Society reserves the right to stop accepting submissions at any time and can remove an entry from the competition if it is deemed to not reflect the positive intent of the contest to promote gardening, gardens, and plants, for example.
- Challenge details are subject to change without notice.
- A maximum of 20 entries will be accepted.
- All entrants must complete an application form.
While the entry is on display, the Society cannot be held responsible for any elements that may go missing or be changed. The Society will have volunteer monitors in the area to oversee the contests and entries.
