Community Gardening
Community Gardening is about growing, sharing, learning, community and fun. There are a number of activities and events planned for 2012 and help is needed to plan and support them. Last season a Community Gardens Resource Team was initiated. It started with a small group, who assisted at events, acted as garden coaches and much more. It is amazing how just a little help can mean so much to new, budding gardeners, garden work crews or to ensure that an event runs smoothly.
Join the team and build on our success and experience from last year. We are looking for enthusiastic gardeners who have a few tricks up their sleeve to pass on to new gardeners, or those who would like to learn more...To find out about volunteer opportunities, please join us:

Community Speakers Program. The Society is often asked to provide speakers for community groups on a variety of gardening topics. We are recruiting volunteers now to deliver talks that provide in-depth information on some of our favorite and most requested topics. We have the tools and support necessary to build a successful education team. Would you like to share your gardening knowledge or learn a bit more? Do you have experience public speaking to groups of 20 people or more and an interest in speaking on behalf of the Society? If so this may be a great opportunity for you.
